The sleeve just has a velcro close on the flap and the quality and looks are better than you might expect for $11. It provides adequate protection for the laptop from companion items in a backpack or messenger bag. I opted for a Velcro opening for faster access. It fit my new Dell Inspiron 14z snugly and perfectly. It slides in and out great! If I had a critique it would be that the material be a tad thicker, but it's really fine the way it is.
